There’s an internet marketing company called Mother’s Lounge, and they are tryin’ to get you to BUY.
They are legit, and they use awesome “loss leaders” (where the company might actually lose money on something) to get you shopping. As a marketing tactic, it’s proven to work.
Are babies REALLY that expensive? A while back I had a comment on one of my debt free living posts… something to the effect of we “wouldn’t still be debt free after we had kids, because kids are so expensive.” (I was pretty pregnant when I read that comment, so it hit closer to home than it might have a few months before.)

You can see that I have, in fact, got an organizational system in place under the bathroom sink. I’ve implemented some of the best and most popular tricks around, like making use of the upward space with shelves and buying cute little baskets from the dollar store (sarcasm? Even I can’t tell…).
And you can see that I have totally ignored that system and piled crap anywhere and everywhere under the sink where crap would fit.
I am a thrift store shopper. I love that I can have LOTS of NICE clothes for a fraction of what they would have cost new. I love that I don’t have to be limited to the 2 pairs of jeans per year I would probably buy if I couldn’t get them from thrift shops. I love that I can replace things when I get tired of them, rather than when they get worn…Oh wait.
I don’t do that.
We all know that Disneyland is one of the most magical spots to vacation. But even though it’s the “Happiest Place on Earth”, the thought of taking a baby to Disneyland can seem a little daunting. If it’s something you’d love to do, (or if you want to take your older kids and the baby just happens to be coming along – because you know – she’s your baby) don’t let it scare you!
